camping and catch up

Catch up has become my new normal....UGH!!!!! I just keep reminding myself it won't always be like this just enjoy the moment. Which I am working hard to do. Adding a new baby always teaches me something new about myself.  Trust me I have a lot to learn. I've had just a touch of postpartum this time but I think it's getting better. Nothing bad just enough that I know this is not normal for me. Triggered by being overwhelmed imagine THAT!! I love my kids and our life we have choose but boy it makes long days sometimes. My perspective thought is always how grateful I am to have this time with my kids and that everyone is healthy. My mom always helps me settle back down and listens to all my crazy worries for my kids which every mom has I'm sure. I tell you having a teenager is an experience I don't think I'll ever be prepared for. It is super neat don't get me wrong and he is a great kid. Last night he had his radio going and his light  on in the garage working on his go cart motor and I had to stop and almost cry a moment thinking WOW  this is my first baby. Here he is working on motors growing into this man I'm so proud of. In a few more years he will be working on the motor of a car I'm sure and it just mind boggled me how fast time flies. He also has another project going with animals. He got a milk goat from our friend and is freezing the milk to raise a jersey calf on for some extra money. So proud of him. He has been working on his barn and does so much around here. He can do all the irrigation and help with dishes and his baby brother. I hope it helps him be a rounded out man.
Brendon is in hunter's Ed right now. Tonight he has his final test. If he passes he will be heading up with Stevan and Hayden to hunt in October. Brendon informed me that he would like to stay 10 it is the perfect age he decided. He's not looking forward to becoming a teenager and getting his big man muscles (= Gosh I Love that kid! He like to have deep talks lately which I thoroughly enjoy. He has a way of finding time for us to be alone and just starts asking questions and tells me all kinds of secret thoughts only moms get to be confided in about. It's the best part of my job. He LOVES Jace oh my goodness. Every morning they have special time together. It  is so sweet. We were out in the garden and he was working  and I said I sure notice how big your getting how hard of a worker you are. He said yep well I'm another year older I'm just growing up one day at time trying to enjoy my life.......That's my Bren.
Wesstin is in the in between stage right now. 6 is a hard age I'm finding. The worst thing you can do to him is tell him he is little. He is working so hard to become one of the big boys. He's an extremely deep thinker and wows me with  what is in his head. One day he told me his entire life plan. What kind of wife he wants to how he'll arrange his house. It was so sweet. He is always there with a plan. He sings a lot too and is our entertainer. Very intense though. I have to scratch my head sometimes at how I'm going to mother that one. That's another time I'm glad I have Stevan he helps balance me which is what a good husband does. Sibling rivalry though has been running rampant lately don't know if it is school starting or what. Everyone knows how to push each others buttons and I don't know how t calm it all down sometimes so then we have naps! (= I know, the 13 year old gets mad at me especially! Sorry guys.
Jace is rolling over from belly to back like a pro and can hold his head up and try to grab things when on his belly. He is in 6 month cloths already and is somewhere between 16-20 pounds. I love this kid let me tell you. He is so calm and kind. He loves to talk and coo and laugh. He has a great disposition. I"M SO GLAD!! I really really needed that.  Other than that we are getting ready for fall and winter BLAH!!!!!!!!!! I really don't want to have winter but at least we'll have Jace learning to crawl to entertain us through it. Stevan got a wall tent with a wood stove for hunting so we tested it out the other weekend. Stevan got a THUR and FRI off so we headed up to our favorite spot just our family which we  haven't done in a long time. It was so great I really do love my life and family. We're not perfect (who is) but we have fun and we try hard.

All my boys

How I love my boys! Life is going good. Crazy and busy but that seems to be the normal for around here. School starts Sept 2nd we are getting ready for that.  We have been trying to fit in as much fun as we can between then and now. We went huckleberry picking a few weekends ago. That will become a yearly accurance they are so so good. We have been playing at t Black Canyon Dam and the river as much as possible. They big guys have gone floating quite a few times. Wesstin is having a sleep over, last night, with Brenda he was so excited. He was up and packed at 7 in the morning. I am so thankful for the amazing people in our life! Sara and Hailey and Rob came over this last Saturday. That is always fun and good heart to heart time with my best friend since 8th grade. She is the closest thing to a sister I have it is so great to have a someone that has known you so long and you have so much history with especially from childhood.
Jace is growing in leaps and pounds (= he is at 12 lbs 12 oz already and in his 3-6 month cloths. He is such a happy good content baby. I'm so thankful for that. I'm going to need it this school year especially. He is starting to smile at us and goo and gaa I love to hear him talk. His brother are in love with him and so are we. He is really becoming part of the family.  My garden is doing so awesome the boys worked so hard this year to help keep it alive, I'm very proud of them they are such good helpers.

Also wanted to say a special thank you to my Aunt Lynda for the beautiful blanket and thoughtful cards! Love and miss you!

Welcome my sweet baby Jace

Well one more makes four boys I get to be mom too. Wow! What a responsibility and joy. Jace was born June 15, 2014 at 5:51A.M   7lbs 15oz 19 1/4 inches long. He is such a sweet sweet baby. Came into the world alert and happy. I got to have  a home birth this time which was such a  privilege . I am so glad I got to experience this. My midwife was a dear friend and my doula was Kerri along with Sara.  We also had  Annette's other midwife Beth here as well. It was an amazing team and so peaceful. My husband was my rock and our relationship grew in ways I didn't realize it could. I feel that my heart has opened in a completely new way. I am so grateful for that. I feel refocused and refreshed. I had the best recovery and birth I think I think I have ever had. Annette really helped me focus on nutrition and self care all through my pregnancy and it made a world of difference. It really helped with a lifestyle change. I am having fun being a mom as a 31 (next month) year old. I have more patience and appreciationfor my baby. The boys are older to which has been neat to see them really be a part of this whole process. They love there brother so much. Well going on to pics I will try to blog more. But can't promise life is really really busy around here now.

I've got two months to go

CRAZY! I can't believe how fast this is all going and yet it feels far off in ways to. This has by far been my best pregnancy health wise. I'm not so heavy, I've eaten a lot better and stayed very active. I have pictures but have been to lazy to put them on the computer. One of these days I will.
The boys are almost done with some subjects in school. It looks like we will finish early for the most part. I am so happy. Ready for just family time with no school to think about. Stevan got a new job! It has changed our life and I am so happy and VERY VERY proud of him! It is an 8-5 job and he is home everyday at 5:30 and has the weekends off. It's so crazy. Our family is still getting used to it but loving it. I feel like I am watching him come to life again and getting to know him in a whole new way. He actually has energy for the family and our home. We are going to do some dump runs this weekend and deep cleaning up. The peas are about 1 1/2 inches tall now and the rest of the garden will go in this week I hope. Besides a few things that need a little more warmth. I started my own tomatoes and peppers this year. We bought all non-GMO seeds this year. Makes me feel better. I know many people have many different opinions on that. SO happy spring has sprung. I have my first sunburn/tan lines going on. Took the boys fishing yesterday that was really fun. Wesstin caught a fish with no worm we were pretty impressed. They are all getting so big and in such different spots in life, on top of just being so different every day is amazing and challenging at the same time. They are such good boys though. They have great hearts every one of them. I'm proud of them. so excited to watch our new little one grow and see what it will be like. It is a VERY active baby. Makes me happy cause I know it's happy and healthy in there. We changed our girl name..it is now Jaycie I absoulty love it . I would like to put all her Great Grandma's in her middle name so I'm thinking Jaycie V.Rosemary V=Vernett( my dad's mom) Rose (Stevan's Grandma Rosa) Mary=( My mom's mom and only living grandparent either of us have left.) Plus it sounds really cute Jaycie V! get over here. see you always have to try out the scolding voice (= I even heard Wesstin in his room saying Jaycie don't climb on that Jaycie don't eat that It was really funny and cute.  He really wants a sister. The other two want another brother. Soon we'll all know!

FIRST BBQ OF 2014!

Spring Fever sets in with a vengeance once again. The first bbq helped  A LOT not to mention being delicious and super a fun time with the family. We also have daffodils popping up and seeds waiting for ground SO HAPPY SPRING IS COMING NEARER!!! The winter was brutal for my emotions this year I think because we had so many gray days.  But I am going to stop all that and embrace the warm afternoons filled with cleaning the yard, sunshine, and warmer air while all my spring and summer plans dance through my head. Feeling really good as far as pregnancy goes. 4 months left whoo hoo!!! We have  pretty well decided on some names finally for a boy Jase and a girl Breanna.

Well I didn't see that coming

Monday October 14, 2013 I found out I am pregnant for the fourth time. Man that still sounds weird. It is finally really sinking in., and I'm getting excited, but it was a shocker for sure. The boys are so excited.  It was funny Brendon asked well how do you know? I said well I took a test from the dollar store he goes well mom you know stuff from the dollar store doesn't really work LOL good point! LOL I went and got another non dollar store test still positive not to mention the nauseousness, sore breast, tired, emotional, peeing all the time. I think it's all safe to say I'm positively pregnant. Wesstin tells me everyday that he is so so happy. They all wanted another sibling so bad. The older boys do math all day figuring out how old they'll be when the baby is such and such age. Really cute and touching. I'm due June 18t also funny Hayden is august 21, wess is august 19.  Brendon is June13 this baby is due the 18 of June so we'll have our August kids and June kids. WOW!
