goats making a "I'm having a baby" noise if you've ever heard it you know what I mean. This really surprised me because no one looked ready to have babies but sure enough there in
the barn was my Suzy goat just minutes away from popping a baby out! So the boys I gathered in there to watch and quickly throw extra straw in. She had a beautiful doe first and then a tiny little buck afterwards which she didn't seem to realize she had since she was standing and he dropped to the ground with me kinda catching him poor little guy. I waited to see if she was going to notice him but she was to busy with her first baby so we put him up by his mom and started to peel some stuff off his nose at least so he could breathe while trying to get mom to notice him. She finally did and got them both cleaned off. We helped dry them with a towel because it is freezing out. Poor little guys I will probably not have babies this time of year again brrr....just
glad we were working outside this weekend or I probably would've been cuddling with a blanket in the house and who knows what would've happened timing is a funny thing! They are both doing great with two little boys worrying over there every move and checking on them constantly.. There very worried because that little girl is following her mom everywhere and is already venturing out with the big goats but no one seems to mind. Brendon wants to just keep them in the house with him LOL I love that my boys get these life experiences it's just great! We got the sewer line in now after hand digging
20 feet of it looking for our propane line and of course if we would've dug one more foot with the tractor we would've found it!!! Oh well!! I can only say that cause I didn't dig much Hayden helped his dad all day we are so proud of him he is
SUCH a hard worker. He's dad was beaming with pride all day. Both of them have a little sore throat though this morning and I am hoping it is just from being outside all day yesterday.
