How you know your child is sick of winter..

My little Brendon came in with his swimming suit on and said "Mom when is it spring" I said "Well let's look on the calendar. Here March 20Th." "Oh well when it's spring can you go to King's and get a new swimming pool and then bring it home and I will get the hose and put water in it." I said "We'll see you better talk to your dad about this." Dad comes home. "Dad this spring can you go to Kings and get a new swimming pool so I can swim." " Well we already have a pool." " No It's to dirty.'" "Well we can clean it" "No It's to hard to clean it." "No it isn't I'll help you." "No It has a hole in it we just need a new one." What kids will do to get what they want. I do believe this is a sure case of spring fever and look out people I believe it is contagious.

Grimlin to Angel in 2.5 seconds

How is that little boys or children in general can make you want to pull your hair out and run in circles screaming and in the next be the sweetest angel that makes your life worth living. I'm beginning to belive it is a survival machanism becuase if they couldn't flip that switch that fast I'm not sure many of us would have children LOL! Watching my boys grow has been the biggest learning eperince of my life. It has shown me more about human character and the bond of siblings and how much we need eachother than even my own expeirence in life has. In the morning when I try notice the big TRY here to lay down for just a few minutes to get myself energized for what the day will hold I listen to my boys talk to eachother. This morning as they are watching Tom and Jerry and Hayden tells Brendon all the funny parts he sees and then Brendon comes back acting it out as they laugh and laugh. Brendon has his leg over his brother and niether minds they are just so close and love eachother so much it makes me so happy and feel like I have done soemthing right in my life. Though I'm not sure I can take the credit it seems they were born friends and it's amazing to see the bond there forming with there next sibling to be already. They save "the baby" spots on the couch to make sure we will all fit. They are amazed to hear all the ways it is changing in there and they keep close tabs on how big it is now. The newest develpment is that it can hear us so they both talk to it daily. Though there are times they are ready to fight to the death over a toy or some other random thing you know they will always be there for eachother and they are truly best friends. I pray that will always stay that way. With all that said I just feel like I need to remind myself of the amazing people and realationships we are all growing here. It is truly a miracle before my eyes that will live on much longer than I ever will in the generations to come. That's family!

spring cleaning

Yes your at the right blog i just felt like I needed to lighten things up a bit around here in cyperspace and my house. It is spring cleaning time. I am looking at all my stuff and am tempted to go get tubs and put everything I don't need daily in them. My boys seem to be growing like weeds cause it seems everytime I turn around I am re-going through cloths finding half are to little again! So here is to nice weather wash those curtains, clean out closets and kick out he dustbunnies!!! Have fun while doing it tooo crank up the tunes!! I love how kids minds work we could never even make this stuff up if we wanted to!! Needless to say it was a very entertaining night at the Rogers household.

Spring Fever!!

It's one of those days where you wake up with the knowing feeling that it is going to be a good day. You can feel life returning outside and things are saying wake-up to the soul inside that has become couped up and muggy inside through the winter. you can see the sun beaming through your house inspiring you to deculutter and jump around and just feel joyous like nothing can bring you down. The best part is when you go outside and feel the warmth floating down to you and envelping every sense you have saying yes I'm real and though it may be a bit yet the warm spring is around the bend. I just love today! Thank you for the warm sun!! I think we all needed it badly. I am going to go have a wonderful lunch with my best friend Sara I'm so excited and then we will head over to my dad's where I think I will coax my brother to go on a walk with me and the boys. We have basketball and 4-H tonight so that will be fun. We are making cakes tonight Hayden is very excited. So as I go through this day I will be wearing a smile on my face soaking in whatever warm sunbeams I can catch dreaming of spring that is right around the corner. By the way I have felt the baby move for sure for the first times! It is amazing!

concert

Well this is a little late but better than never right! We did go to that concert and the boys did great. I have movies of them I will share at the bottom. We are a little sad to find out that Brendon won't be able to play soccer this season they had some staff changes and apparently the lady who was going to let him play this time no longer works there and so they will not let him play no ifs ands or buts about it! BIG BUMMER!! so now he will have to wiat until Spetember's season when he is acutally 4. Poor guy.. I got to hear the babies heartbeat yesterday and it was amazing!! It was right at what it should be. Good news! We have both finally decided on a girls name Jenna Jo I love it and I still want Wess for a boy. Other than that things are the same... WE bring the cows in to the butcher this weekend and are hauling a bunch of goats to the sale YEAH!! Well here are the movies! Enjoy.

My amazing brother Gus. He memorized this piece of music after writing all the notes in and listening to it on CD a LOT of times. I think it is so neat to see a teenager with such a passion and love for classical music.

This is a song Hayden wrote and still working on he tells me....He wants to be just like Gus! We are very pround of him!
