My Truck and some other random things

Spring break was so great I am really missing it already! I can't wait for summer. Over spring break I challenged myself to leave the computer off and it was so so so great. I can't believe how addicted I have let myself become to this darn thing and how much sweet precious time it takes up. A few minutes to quick check e-mail really adds up.
As most of you know I have been blessed in my life to have two wonderful men I call dad. My dad that lives out here owns a body shop and radiator repair business. Well over the years he has gotten quite a collection of cars and trucks. When I was 12 he brought home a 64 Chevy pick up and I was hooked. My mom had one when I was little and I thought it was the coolest thing ever so when I seen it I had to have it and I wanted it just like hers. Every year for my birthday my dad would say if you can push it up here we'll work on it. So I would and we would work on it for a while and do what we could. He would get me doors or a glove box or little things like this. Being with my dad out in his shop working with him are some of my most treasured times in my life. My dad has pulled out my truck and it is almost finished I can't believe it I had to cry for a moment the first time I seen it painted. It was unbelievable. I only wish I could've been there to work on it with him. My dad is an amazing man. I am so thankful to have had him in my life. The truck will mean more to me and does mean more to me than any words I could say in thanks. Everytime I look at the paint I will think of my dads patience and skill. When I see the body work I will see my dads mighty gentle hands running over the metal. When I see the little details I will see the spark and joy in my dads eyes as he would tell me something. Every piece of it to me is a precious memory of my dad and a reminder of the man he is. I'm so gratful he is all the dad he's been that he didn't have to be. Onto some pictures!

Soccer season has started as well the first game is march 31st The boys are so excited here are some pics from that.

Wess is finally teething but still no teeth there just gettin closer. I was cooking dinner and I was making broccli. Well a broccli stalk makes a good teether. I looked over and he was sound asleep after happily chewing away for 20 minutes. Sweet boy. He's also done this with his beloved tooth brush.


Grandma Rose came over and brought kites for the boys. They had lots of fun and I hope to get some good use out fo them this year. The boys are at a very fun age. The boys other new thing is all taking a bath togther . they are so darn cute!! Precious memories.

spring fever

It is definitely spring flowers are in bloom you have the urge to wear flip flops( mine will be coming out today) bugs are flying around and mowing the yard sounds fun! It made me think of a poem I wrote two years ago now already gosh...our local radio station had a contest to write your spring fever symptoms and the best one would win a trip to Newport, OR in a really nice couples only hotel. I won and it was the greatest trip ever. Stevan and I never had a honeymoon so this was really the first time we ever got away together. It was so great it made me really realize he is my best friend and I am so in love with him. My dad and brother Gus kept our kids over the weekend and they did great as well though my dad and brother both looked very tired lol...I'm so thankful for my family. Well here is the poem enjoy

Spring Fever
spring fever spring fever it's calling my name
I worry I may be going insane.
I've already sun burned my back and my nose
I've packed away all of my old winter cloths.
No more jackets and boots with all this warm weather
It's tank tops and flip flops from here to September. I've walked around carefully counting buds on the trees,
and I swear I almost saw a bee.
I've mapped out my garden I bought a new hose
I've ready and waiting till all chance of frost goes.
My bbq schedule is up on the wall,
Steaks,brats and hot dogs come one and come all.
Spring fever spring fever I've got it bad
I think I must do something before I go mad.
Hey I heard Newports nice,
They've got a beach at a low low price.
Yes a vacation and adventure is exactly what I need.
So help me kissin 92 before my spring fever turns into spring flu.

the zoo

We went to the park with the beautiful weather a few weeks back. The boys had so much fun and it was great getting out and walking around. I am loving the weather we have had rain, 60 degrees cold weather all kinds spring is such a fun season. Our goats are due in May we're looking forward to that. We went through a cold here but were almost over it. Seems everyone has something so were just staying home.
I love Brendon's shadow in this it reminds of peter pan for some reason.
