It's spiring break
It's spring break It's spring break It's spring break It's spring break......I am SOOOOOOO Happy!!!! I' so happy to have a week to be mom and only mom not teacher mom or stressed out mom or mom who is always cleaning or schooling.......this is my week to catch up on all the little stuff. My week for Wess to get all the attention when he needs it. I'm so so excited. I'm so happy to have time to do fun things with my big boys. We are having our old neighbor Angie and her family out today. They have always been a treasure in our lives and even though we only get to see each other at least once a year for sure...we pick up right where we left off. That's good friendship. Tuesday we are going to go visit with Dawn and the girls at her new house. I'm very excited to see it. wed we are going to nana cindy's house in the morning and then to my mom's house. The rest of the time we are going to just thoroughly enjoy. Maybe go for a bike ride, clean up the yard and just play and enjoy eachother. I truly love spring break and summer break. I wouldn't give up homeschooling for anything. I love having my kiddos home and having a little more influence and protection there for what goes into their minds, but boy let me tell you I love the times when I get to be mom and only mom.

Little brother Wesstin

My little Wesstin. How we do love the boy....but he has been my hardest child. He is very very very did I mention very strong willed. I think this will be a strength later on. He is a leader. For Sure. No body is going to change his mind once he is set on something. And on the other side he is so sweet and loving. He loves to hug and cuddle. He always wants to help and he has a work ethic I've never seen in a two year old. He is our wood man. That is the boys chore. Without any one telling Wesstin he checks the wood boxes. If they are low he goes out with his little red wagon, loads it with wood, brings it to the house box to be chopped ( and you better be ready to chop it for him or he will yell at you) He sets all the wood up for you to chop and he then stacks in the box . It really amazes me. A Lot!
Homeschooling is difficult enough in itself. And when you add a two year old into it is just that much harder. Keeping him occupied is a daily struggle ... in fact it has been hard even when he was a baby because he would cry and cry and cry and cry....oh my I look back on those days and don't know how we got through it. But I absolutly loved having my baby. He could be so sweet as well. And I really believe he will grow up to be a very strong man. When I mention man we always laugh because he is such a "little man" He loves all things chain saw, cars, dirt for heaveans sakes the boy beeps when he backs up. If he doesn't work with equipment I will be amazed. anytime new vehicles come here he has to check them out. Anytime we see any kind of big machine or truck he starts yelling WHOO WHOOO!!!! and pointing. He waits at the window every Friday for the garbage man and then about has a heart attack as he watches them and yells HI HI HI !!!!! I love all these memories he has given us.
Anyone who knows Wesstin knows he has his own way of talking, its a mix of words and actions. So as you can imagine it was pretty cute to see and hear him describe what the picture below is......come on take a guess.........It is his DA TEE on a Dalon da lon da lon (horse) Ahh I love this boy and though some days seem so long and hard they will be gone before I know it. And all I'll have is premature gray hairs to show for them (LOL) Just kidding......welll maybe.

the principle has left the building
Well hello for the last month and a half Stevan has been home which means I had very very little free time. It has been a very happening month and a half though. We have all the goat babies born. We got all does this year. My big mama suzy died though it was very very sad to see. We ended up with three bottle babies which I traded one for goat milk to raise the other two on. All in all it's been fun for the kids. Wesstin talks about his babies all day and plays with them a lot. Stevan had to have knee surgery. It went really good and today is his first day back.
While Stevan was home he really helped me get more organized and getting school more on track. I lovingly called him the principle and he does not cut you any slack. He helped me see that I waste a lot of time and that if I buckle down with the kids and get through the hard stuff now it will make a world of difference. It was also really nice to have an extra hand to help Wesstin through the day. I'm missing that already. Our neighbor Lisa also started tutoring Hayden with his spelling which he is making giant leaps in now. She taught school for while way back when and actually went to school for it so she has helped me with new ideas of how to get through the road blocks. We also made a much more strict schedule all through the day and it has helped the boys stay focused knowing exactly what is expected of them through the day. Funny how that works huh? overall life is going good.
