my little thoughts

Change is not made by government or even the votes that get them there. Change is made by families who recognize the current system is broken and who quietly say no to that system’s convenience, comfort, and hand outs while creating a more sustainable future.

I found this little saying on a blog I love to read and it pulled at my heart. I feel that this is something I strive for and really summed up how I feel. I have so far to go to get there but at least I have a light at the end of the tunnel. A goal I'm reaching for. I don't know when being PREPARED meant you were weird or crazy but the more I think about it I've always been called weird. My whole life I've been told that and the older I get and the more comfortable I get in who I am and the more knowledge I take in the more I've come to realize I'm okay with being weird. (= It's sometimes much better than normal. Peace is a great thing to strive towards and have, but peace comes from knowing where you stand before you have to....I think it comes from being prepared inside and out then your not caught off guard for that's usually when we end up reacting and we can be pretty ugly when we are scared or in defensive mode. I pray my family stay prepared spiritually and physically for anything that comes our way. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Through it all stretch to be the best you can possibly be. I pray we can be a light and a safe place for others. Things are getting a little nuts in the world, we need to know who we are and join together, find that unity and common ground. Noah was thought to be really weird and crazy but I bet all those normal people wished they'd got on the dang ARK (= We are one family. I am one mom but I know we are not alone. LOVE.....we have to love one another.
