Spring break was great. It was not as relaxing as I thought it would be but we got a lot of visiting in that we all thoroughly enjoyed. My best and oldest friend Sara came over last weekend and spent the night. We always have so much fun. We found our notebooks we had written in 8th and 9th grade (they were so funny) We laughed and laughed and laughed. It was interesting to see how you could see the personalities of us still in there. I guess some things never change and I'm glad about that. It's a great blessing to have a friend that has stuck with you all through life. It's a good feeling to know there is someone there that will love you and stick by you through thick and thin. I had a little scare with a lump in my breast this past month. I was glad to have my friend Sara there by my side.....(not every friend you would feel comfortable in breast exams with) Sara and I's friendship goes so much deeper than just the time and history we have together. She is closer than a sister and I truly don't think everyone is as lucky to find a friendship like we have. I try hard to not take her for granted but there are times I find myself doing that. This whole lump thing really got me thinking about life and how short and precious it really really is. It also showed me how many true friends. I'm amazed at the circle of women I have around me that truly love me for me and would be there for me in a moments notice. They will listen to me cry and help me dry tears and calm fears. They laugh with me and give advice. I would do the same for them in a heartbeat. There is richness beyond measure in friendship. The connections we make with people is what life is really really about at least to me. The role they play whether it be for a season or a lifetime is irreplaceable.
I don't know about you but I'm not very good at taking the self portaits but I try hard. I had to include this sequence just because I thought it was funny.
Dang try again......
missed it again (creepy smile by the way) ........
and we got it LOL
